We can finally play outside!

We have been waiting so long to get a nice day and finally one arrived! It was over 70 degrees today so we spent the afternoon in the yard watching Daddy do yardwork. Thanks, Daddy!

She kept these sunglasses on almost the whole afternoon!

We were so excited to get some fresh air and to see all of our neighbors, especially
Ryan and Eva, across the street, Hopefully, there will be more of these days soon!

Such a good patient!

As most of you know, Mairead underwent minor surgery today to correct the tongue tie that she was born with. She was such a great patient. She even held the oxygen mask herself! While we were in pre-op she was making friends with the nurses and doctors, and didn't complain at all, despite the fact that she could not eat this morning. When she came out of the anesthesia, she was not too happy, that's for sure. But after a popsicle and a bottle, she was back to smiling at everyone.

The surgery should completely correct the problem and she should not have any trouble with her speech or with eating solid food, so we are thankful for that. She is such a brave and strong little girl-- she has already been in hospitals too much in her little life, so I hope this is it for a very long time!

Thanks to everyone who was so supportive the past few days. Obviously, Dave and I were very anxious about the anesthesia and about her going back to the hospital. But she was great! We are so lucky to have such a happy and healthy child!
