Although we have lots of activities planned this winter, some days are just too cold to go out, or we are just too tired! On those days, we just hang out at home and relax and have fun there.
The other day, I gave the boys some Cheerios and then put them up for their morning nap. When I came back down, this is what I found.
She had gathered her little friends (all 12 that she travels around the house with) in their basket that she uses to carry them, and plopped herself on the couch. She also found the Cheerios on the coffee table and set herself up with a little snack. Not a bad way to start the day!
Here's Ben doing two of his favorite things- standing up and eating.
Jack doing his patented army crawl. Jen calls him Lowly Worm (from the Richard Scarry books).
Brian and Christin came over on Monday night to talk about wedding plans (weddings and plans, two of MY favorite things), and the brought Emmett. Mairead thought his crate was a great place to play. She got in and started yelling, "It's a airplane!" and going, "Mmmmm.... vrommm..." until Brian picked up the crate and 'flew' the 'airplane' around a bit. She is a character, that's for sure!
Welcome!
Thank you all for sharing in the lives of our three amazing children- Mairead, Jack, and Ben. We hope you visit often!

Alligators, Apples, and Fish!
As it always is in New England, the weather has been a bit unpredictable lately. With temperatures over 40 degrees this past weekend, we were able to take the tarp off the stroller and get the kids out for a walk. It was nice to get some fresh air! As the kids grow, however, the stroller keeps getting heavier! I am in for a real workout when our daily walks resume this Spring! Right now, we have about 78lbs of kid, and about 12 lbs of stroller- and it's only going to be more in the next few months!
After a nice day on Saturday, it snowed on Sunday night. We had to resume our regular indoor routines, so Mairead spent some time coloring, and she and I worked on some projects together.
Here are the 'fruits' of our labor (sorry, I couldn't resist...)
Jack and Ben were all bundled up for the winter weather in these adorable sweaters from a family friend. She made these cute little fish sweaters-- thank you so much, Kathy!
They are looking different from each other lately, aren't they?
Ben has a new trick. When you say, "Whee!", he throws his hands over his head, and then puts them on his head. This is always fun when he has cookie or pancakes, etc, on his hands, and it ends up in his hair.

No idea why Ben is making that face...

Jack is amused by these tricks, but does not follow along.
They are still loving the 'real food' and are expanding their menu. Now, they eat pancakes, french toast, grilled cheese, Cheerios, puffs, cereal bars, potatoes, and bananas. They are growing boys!
They are usually not, however, clean boys, as shown here by young Benjamin.
