Happy Mother's Day!

I hope that all of the moms had a wonderful Mother's Day. Being a mom is the most amazing, challenging, wonderful, stressful thing I have ever done- I am guessing that you all feel the same. This was my first Mother's Day as a mom of 3, and it was great! Dave and the kids gave me a facial and massage (hmmm.... wonder why he thought I would like that?). Then, we headed up to Lowell for the day to celebrate with my family.

Mairead had a lot of fun spending time with Jen. They watched a little Miss Spider...

and had a tea party (complete with fancy hats).

One thing I really wanted for Mother's Day was one picture of me with all of my kids. I am never in pictures, and we can never get all three kids to cooperate at the same time. It took about 4 adults to get us set up and to wrangle Mairead, but we did manage to get a few. Mairead and I were both wearing our Lowell Red Sox t-shirts and the boys had little red and blue baseball outfits to match.

We had fun playing in the back yard. Mairead even found a bird bath.

One of Mairead's many new words is, 'flowers'. When she sees them, she starts sniffing... so cute.

My siblings gave me such a thoughtful Mother's Day gift- this necklace has two peas in a pod and a pearl (Mairead's name in Gaelic means 'pearl). How sweet was that? Thank you!
Thanks to my mom for all that she has done for me and for us. I don't know what I would have done without her when my kids were in the NICU (both times). Thanks to Dave's mom for all of the support she gives us, and for making trips out to visit us. Thanks to all of my mom friends for being such great mothers and great friends. Thanks to everyone who helped us to have a great Mother's Day!

This picture isn't from Mother's Day, but it is super cute. I had the boys on the floor for tummy time, and when I do that, I always put some toys just out of their reach so that they have something to look at and something to reach for. Today, Ben managed to get his hands on this little stuffed animal which is Bounce from Miss Spider. He was holding on to it for the longest time!
