It wasn't all fun and games, though. Mairead did spend some time helping her Nana in the kitchen. Those dishes aren't going to put themselves away!
That was too much work, though, so then she had to hide.
With the start of school looming for us on September 2, we are still hanging on to every last bit of summer. We spent yesterday in Lowell so that Mairead could get in a good swim while it was so hot out. Unfortunately for her dad, the water was not so warm. She couldn't have cared less, though! By the time we dragged her out, she was literally blue and shaking, yet she still struggled to try to wrestle her way back into the water.
Dave was a really good sport about staying in, even though he was cold. She LOVES being in the water, even though she was drinking some of it in the first video. I swear, in the second video, it sounds like she is saying, "Again, Daddy!"

I love her reaction to the water. She's so funny. It looks like a lot of fun... I'd be saying "Again, Daddy!" too!
Will was clapping for Mairead and squealing when she splashed. It's so funny, he also loves to help put the dishes away and also, fold and sort laundry. If only it would stay that way...
She's too cute putting those dishes away! We're also trying to get every last second out of summer! Although, I'm looking forward to all the fun fall pictures and Halloween costumes!!
She is so cute and looks like she's having a great time. Kids love water whether it's freezing cold or not and then you get old and need it to be at least 88 degrees. . .(haha). Love, Aunt Kathy
