Sippy Cup

Mairead has been working on a new skill- using a cup instead of a bottle! Last night she was just relaxing and enjoying some juice before reading a book with her dad.

Weekend Activities

Mairead is always finding new ways to entertain herself. You can see that we spare no expense when it comes to things to play with. This is one of her favorite 'toys' right now.

Another favorite right now is playing 'peek.' Now, however, Mairead has figured out how to play for herself. Again, the very pricey cloth diaper is a big hit.

We really are enjoying every day with her-- each stage is going by more quickly than the next!

New toy

Well, it's not really a toy, but it is fun for Mairead and it helps her enjoy one of her favorite past times- eating! This is a mesh feeder that holds frozen fruit. It is supposed to help with teething because she can suck on something cold. I highly recommend it to other moms!

Weekend at Grandma's

This weekend we headed to Iron Gate Farm to see Mairead's Grandma and the rest of the family. Mairead had a great time playing and getting so much attention.


She even played with all of the stuffed animals in the cradle... she's the one in the middle.


Mairead's cousin, Rachael, taught her how to go sledding on the hills at the farm.


We played inside, too, and really spent a nice weekend together.




We did give Mairead her first ride in a sled-- this one was just the right size for her and we pulled her around for a bit in that.





Then Dave decided that she was ready for her first downhill run-- she loved it!



We really had a great weekend and it was great to see Grandma, Grandpa Ivan, Aunt Ryane, Uncle David, and Cousin Rachael. We even had a visit from Uncle Corey and Aunt Patti! Thanks for a great weekend, everyone. We hope to see you soon!

Snow Day

This weekend we had a pretty sizeable storm in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our trip to New York, but we will be spending all of next weekend with Mairead's cousin Rachael, and all the rest of our family up there. Mairead misses her Grandma, so she is looking forward to it! For now, we are just trying to enjoy the snow.

This is the first time we have had Mairead out in the snow, and she was very curious about it!

She looked pretty cute in her little snowsuit-- thanks, Nana!

Mairead got to spend some time with her dad, who was outside shoveling for us.

Even though we had fun, we hope this is the last of the snow for this winter. We can't wait for spring and summer!

Making Friends

When we are not in the room, Mairead needs someone to talk to... or yell at... Today, it was a little monkey wrist rattle. Of course, as soon as she sees the camera, she has to turn and give us a smile!

Starving Baby

I've mentioned that Mairead's favorite thing to do is to eat, but apparently we are not giving her quite enough. She is so starving that she needs to find every scrap she can get...
